Any endeavor like this goes more smoothly with prayer. Everything from the speed of the city granting building permits, to safety while working will go better if the saints are praying. Pray for the fund-raising. Pray for the process. Pray that God will use these improvements for his glory, and that many might be attracted to this facility, but more importantly, to a relationship with Jesus.
Volunteer
This church has a great tradition of volunteering. Many of you have already invested ‘sweat-equity’ in this facility and there will opportunities to do more, with various tasks like painting and other improvements. When we put the call out, please be willing to step up and help in any way you can.
Give
Of course, all of these proposed improvements cost money. Our expected expense for the whole project is around $425,000. By the grace of God, we have already raised $250,000 from the sale of the cell-phone tower lease. That leaves $175,000 to be raised. In April we will start to promote the project with the goal of having a Pledge Sunday in May. There will be opportunities to give a one-time gift, or a gift staggered over a few months. Please start praying about how God might want you to resource this next phase of ministry at Central.
How to Give
Through the regular offering plate. Use a giving envelope from the back of a pew, and write RTR (for Raise the Roof), or Building Project on the front.
Online through PushPay. Use the dropdown menu and select “Raise the Roof Project.”
Through Billpay. Set up BillPay at your bank to schedule a one-time gift, or a series of gifts. Make sure the Memo line reads Raise the Roof, or Building Fund, so that the funds get directed properly.
Through a gift of stock. Our Treasurer, Tanya Garside can give you instructions on how to do this.
